OUR PROCESS
STEP 1: GETTING TO KNOW YOU
Every great design starts with a conversation. Here we'll sit down with you to discuss your vision - how you want your home to feel, how you plan to live in it, and what inspires you. Style, flow, function... even those Pinterest screenshots you've compiled! All will help us get a clear picture of what matters most to you.
To make the most of this first step, we invite you to fill out our New Project form, which you can find on our Contact Page. This helps us come prepared and focused on YOUR dream.
STEP 2: MAKING IT OFFICIAL
After our initial conversation, we'll put together an agreement that clearly outlines the scope of your project and what you can expect moving forward. This step ensures we're aligned and ready to move ahead with confidence and transparency.
STEP 3: BRINGING THE BIG PICTURE TO LIFE
This is where things really get going! Here, we'll create an early 3D model of your home that shows the overall shape, layout and spatial connections. You'll be able to see your ideas take form and get a true sense of how your home will live and breath.
Consider this step one of exploration! We'll make quick adjustments and thoughtful tweaks based on your feedback, so the design truly feels one of a kind.
STEP 4: SHAPING THE EXPERIENCE
Once we've landed on the right direction, we begin refining your project, focusing on elements that shape how your home looks and functions day to day. This includes:

Statement pieces like fireplaces or custom built-ins

Kitchen layout
We'll meet again to walk through everything together and make sure it feels just right before moving ahead.
STEP 5: ADDING THE FINISHING TOUCHES
Now we dive into the details that elevate your home and make it feel complete. This includes:

Color and materials

Trim and other finishing elements

Cabinet detailing
At this stage, you'll also have the option to add high-quality renderings - these help you truly see your future home before it's built. If you choose this option, we'll collaborate closely to showcase the spaces that matter most. (Additional costs will apply)
STEP 6: YOUR FINAL DESIGN
Once everything has been thoughtfully refined and approved, we prepare your final design packet. This is the complete vision of your home, ready to be shared and taken further into the next phase of it's life.
*Our plan-sets include typical details such as floorplans, elevations, etc. However, as these plans are for design purposes only, additional information required for construction may not be included.
OUR SERVICES
Located in Southwest Washington, Studio JLR provides affordable visualization services to both builder and designer in an effort to present a comprehensive view of a project. We do not outsource our work, as we believe in working with the community and building personal relationships with our clients.
There are a few 3D Visualization options to choose from. These include Interior and Exterior Renderings, 3D Floor Plans and Architectural Animations.

We pride ourselves in our ability to take your inspirations and construct an entirely new design based around you.

PRICING
WHAT WE CHARGE
Our design services start at $1 per square foot, keeping things straight forward from the start.
Pricing Examples:

Because our work is "design only," we focus on creating a clear, thoughtful design that serves as a strong foundation for the rest of your project. From there, you’re free to assemble the right team—engineers, builders, and other professionals—who can take that design and prepare it for construction based on your specific requirements. Additional services such as engineering, architectural stamps, site planning, and systems like electrical or HVAC may be required before building can begin.*
*It is the responsibility of the client and their engineer, general contractor and agents to ensure that the house and its construction complies with all laws, rules, codes and regulations, as well as best practices in the location where the house is to be built.
